Chase Mann

Hello, I’m Chase! Download my PDF Resume

I started in the coffee business as a part-time barista when I was 18, but before the year was out, I realized my passion for the bean, switched to full-time and was lucky to be trained as an apprentice roaster. I’ve now been involved in the coffee industry for over 20 years and specializing in it full-time for over 14. I like to think of myself as a professional coffee blogger helping to develop your average coffee enthusiast into a polished coffee pro.

I started My Coffee Pro as a coffee knowledge resource and also as an opportunity to showcase the experience, hard work and passion I’ve developed while working in the coffee industry. I also hope to use this blog as an opportunity to network with other coffee bloggers … and to become known as the coffee blog gateway to other quality coffee blogs.

I do Graphic Design & Marketing at Aim It Media, check out my Portfolio page there.

Design & Marketing

I’ve created everything from Yellow Pages to Magazine ads for coffee shops; developed, ran and evaluated whole marketing campaigns in print and online; taken copywriting courses to be more effective at getting my point across with words; studied and used, to great results, guerrilla marketing tactics on slim budgets; mastered blog design and customization in WordPress to create blogsites for clients.

I’ve designed everything you can imagine in the coffee industry: ads, bakery forms, bank count forms, brochures, business cards, cleaning checklists, disciplinary forms, employee checklists, fax forms, flyers, food recipes, letterheads, invoices, inventory sheets, menus, menu-boards, order forms, sales letters, websites, to even designing the store layout with an architect!

I’ve also designed and written training programs complete with employee training manuals and tests for both our direct employees as well as outside clients in the coffee industry.

I’ve written complete sales packets including quote sheets, coffee and tea informational sheets, checklists of all forms to give to prospects, what items to discuss, what documents need signed and verified for new accounts, follow-up letters, articles and tips to help new accounts increase their own sales.

Administrative

I’ve performed all administrative functions for coffee shops and coffee roasters.

I’ve designed and written entire employee handbooks, complete with all necessary documentation for new hires, while making sure we followed City, State and Federal laws.

I’ve performed payroll, hiring and firing, HR functions, workman’s comp, EDD, Health department, purchasing of all accessories and equipment, set-up and maintenance of all vendor and customer accounts, processing payments, bank deposits, accounts payable and receivable, etc.

Executive Assistant duties like: travel arrangements, executive’s personal accounts maintenance, email and letter communications, scheduling, task prioritization, enforcing employee guidelines, etc.

I’ve trained employees in customer service, taking phone orders, creating invoices, processing orders, correcting problems and thorough follow-up.

Coffee Expertise

I’m confident that if you’re in the retail or coffee industry, then my experience and passion can help you to increase your sales, deliver on your customer promises, organize your business and give you the tools needed to operate your business at peak efficiency.
