Summary: Lungamente (Italian “long”) -over extracted espresso shots

Ingredients

  • Espresso (# of shots ordered)

Instructions

  1. Over extract the espresso (about 1.5x more than normal -3 to 4 fluid ounces) directly into cup and serve.

This can be easily accomplished on modern espresso machines by re-extracting through the same portafilter.

Not to be confused with a “doppio” which are two shots (2x 1.5 fluid ounces) of espresso.
